Healthy, a few hippoboscids. 4/23/21 Observed at Precipice bluff, Whitewater State Park and paired with male Davis b/g D/57. 4 eggs laid, 4 hatched and fledged. 6/27/21-found just north of 23583 Hwy 74, near St. Charles, MN and transferred to TRC for treatment. Bird had fractured right humerus with soft tissue damage. Released 9/2/21 back on breeding territory without problem. Bird is still in transitional molt, despite being 2+ years old (6 primaries each wing, 4 tail feathers still immy plumage). Weight 810g. Missing talon on #4 digit noted on day of release.Following day, observed sitting low, not showing fear of people. DNR staff attempted to capture but she was able to fly off, although low to ground and never observed to fly high.
