2009/07/07 soft crash landing on first flight; returned following day to rooftop nestbox on Radisson; remained at nestbox until 2009/07/09 when she ""fledged"" a second time without incident. 2011/01/24 - USDA Texas Wildlife Services (Randy Smith) - reported bird was struck and killed by an aircraft at San Antonio International Airport, San Antonio, Texas, USA on Jan 18; 2011/01/25 - San Antonio Intl Airport biologist (Marcus Machemehl) reports bird was in the runway safety area and based on lack of damage to bird and no reports of damage from any planes, it looks as though the bird knocked to the ground by the jetwash from a plane on takeoff.
