2011-found to be on territory at Lock and Dam 1, Minneapolis, MN with established pair Lightning b/g P/16 and Elspeth b/r 27/A. Observed to actively harrass pair throughout the season. 2012-Observed to be on territory with same 2011 pair, harrassing the pair again. by late May, male Elspeth disappeared from the area and Zipper found to be paired with the female and had nested on the nearby Ford Parkway Bridge, St. Paul. Four chicks hatched but were not banded for safety reasons. Only 2 males fledged successfully. April 17, 2013, found dead at 3616 Edmund Blvd., Mpls, MN. Bird hit window.
