Bird was banded as female, but is actually a male. Brought into rehab in 2009 and released spring 2010 (information per Pat Schlarbaum of Iowa DNR.) 2008: On territory at the American Republic building in Des Moinse, paired with unbanded adult. Produced 3 young, 1 male and 2 females. 2011-paired at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN with female black 53/K early in year, but paired successfully with an unbanded adult female. Pair laid two eggs, one hatched but later disappeared.
