10/11/02, seen in box at NSP Riverside, Minneapolis MN (Robert Anderson); 2005, State Prison, St. Cloud MN, paired with b/g 84/H, fledged 3 young, not banded due to access problems to box. 2006: same place, same pair, 3 males & 1 female fledged but not banded due to access problems to box. 2007: same pair, same site, 3 females fledged but not banded due to access problems to box. 2009-received report of territorial dispute at the correction facility in St. Cloud. Did not nest at the prison and was unobserved anywhere in the region. 2010-paired at the St. Cloud Correctional facility in St. Cloud, MN and paired with Lewis b/g 76/P, 4 eggs laid, 4 fledged, 6/28/10 bird was found depressed in compost pile near the nest box; appeared to have gotten trapped in the container (very thin). Bird died before transport to TRC. Carcass to be given to MNDNR for display mount at St. Paul headquarters. One male chick also found dead of same apparent unknown cause-suspect toxicity.
